Sooooo … how you been? Me? 2023 has (so far) been worse than 2021 and 2022. I’m struggling
As most of you know, I was in the hospital for two weeks in January, another few days in February, and on St. Patrick’s Day (March 17th) I had to put my Scooter kitty to sleep due to inoperable, untreatable, mouth cancer. 2023 has not been fun
Sure … it could be worse, but shut the fuck up and don’t try to minimize/one-up my grief …
Work has been wonderful and beyond stressful at the same time. There has been a BUNCH of politics (not within the company, but in the Fighting Game Community - our customer base - in general). Again, stressful, but a HUGE baptism into the FGC - one that was needed
I have no idea how those of you who deal with chronic pain manage to do so. I have been in pain since the beginning of 2023 and, quite frankly, I’m sick and tired of being sick and tired. Last night I fell asleep on the sofa sitting up because it was the only comfortable place to get 2 hours of sleep. I definitely have a new appreciation for what many of you go through, especially when Tylenol is your only pain killer
I’m hoping to reschedule my trip home to Washington State in June. I have a second cousin (the daughter of my FAVORITE cousin who I will ALWAYS be close to) who is getting married June 3rd. I want to be there for her as many in my family won’t bother. The family finds her odd. Having an odd kid myself, I don’t judge. The down side? I need to find a dress
Today’s photo treat? My Scooter kitty is on the left, my Radar kitty on the right. My Radar kitty has been so lost the last two weeks - he and Scooter kitty had been together for 13 years. I feel so bad … for Scooter and for Radar
